Scripps Graduate Julia Jackson Knows her Wine

Julia Jackson, the daughter of Barbara Banke and the late Jess Jackson has been surrounded by the winemaking business since childhood. Now she has taken on the role of a spokesperson for the Jackson Family Wines company. In this role, she has traveled the globe sharing the delights of the Jackson Family Wines brands. Her latest project is the promotion of Vérité La Joie a Cabernet heavy Bourdeaux blend that is produced in Sonoma Valley. Although this region is known primarily for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietals, Jackson believes that the region is also very well-suited for the Cabernet grape.

Julia Jackson is also very active in the foundation that she founded, Cambria Seeds of Empowerment. Through this non-profit organization, Julia Jackson works along with other non-profit organizations to help women find success in the workplace. Julia cites her mother Barbara Banke as a huge inspiration to this philanthropic work. Barbara often called the brains behind the successful Jackson family business, has always been a great example to women everywhere. Julia is very active in the organization and continues to work diligently on the behalf of women all over the world. This work has helped her to gain understanding and appreciation of just how her mother’s example has been impactful in her life.

The Jackson Family Wines company continues to grow and innovate and through their Vérité La Joie, they keep the great wine coming.
