Marc Sparks – Do It!

When asked how he makes success happen, Marc notes that faith, passion, tenacity, a savvy for monetization, inner focus and — more importantly — an insane sense of urgency, which he calls Sparks Speed, offer the key ingredients. As an entrepreneur, he rely on such qualities often. Mix these with treating people the way that you wish to be treated — in fairness, with respect and with honesty — and you’ll succeed.Learn more : http://thebrotalk.com/bro-recommendations/dallas-entrepreneur-marc-sparks-spills-must-visit-list-wineries-dfw/

Outside of business life, Marc is deeply passionate about helping people through a Dallas homeless shelter called The Samaritan Inn; see more at www.thesamaritaninn.org. Spark’s heavily involved in many life-saving projects there since the ’80s. He delivers a hand up and not a handout at the campus; he is all for helping those who wish to help themselves. The shelter houses approximately 160 residents every night, and the average turnaround is only five months.Learn more : http://www.fundacity.com/marc-sparks

The shelter turns away nearly 75 people a week who wish to enter the program for counseling, financial guidance, job placements, family services and health assistance. Sparks was often brought to tears when past residents graduated and, a year later, he would share of how well they’ve done. It’s a humbling experience.

His passion for building has also proven useful in his involvement with Habitat for Humanity: He has personally assisted in constructing more than a dozen homes. He also supports American Can! Academy, a top network of magnet high schools. Throughout his Sparky’s Kids Foundation, he has donated more than 1,000 brand-new computers to at-risk youth to help them break the poverty cycle.Learn more : http://sparktankdfw.com/

To counter stress, he’s also a health enthusiast and outdoorsman. He hunts, fishes, hikes, bikes, puts, works out at the gym, and indulges in adventure travel. Sparks thrives on competition in sports and business. He has nearly traveled around the globe in 23 days and has explored a few of the world’s most exotic places, like Easter Island – home to the ancient moai statues – Machu Picchu, Morocco, Angkor Wat, Agra Xi’an, Tibet, and even the Serengeti. He believes that adventurous travel is any entrepreneur’s mecca, getting more inspiration and ideas through his travel than he does elsewhere.

On February 27, 2013, Leicel Dismukes congratulated Sparks on his success and new life. He remembers when Sparks made his first 100K: Sparks earned a watch and went to Acapulco to celebrate. Dismukes was pleased to learn that the Lord had also been a major part of Spark’s life, seeking his continued Blessings.

Zig Ziglar once called Sparks most gracious and generous, deeply appreciating his life. He also highly valued their relationship and considered it one of the most exciting things in his life. He thanked Sparks and blessed him highly.
